Azimut wins Quebec Prospector of the Year Award

is pleased to announce it has received the prestigious Prospector of the Year Award during the recent Quebec Exploration Convention organized by the Association de l'exploration minière du Québec (AEMQ) and the Ministère des ressources naturelles et de la faune du Québec (MRNF).The AEMQ awards its annual distinction to highlight a discovery that has had a significant impact on exploration activities on the property itself or in the surrounding region. This year, the AEMQ chose to recognize the important contribution of Azimut and its Rex and Rex South projects inNunavik, Northern Quebec. Major exploration programs in 2010 and 2011 on Rex and Rex South, as well as on the company's nearby NCG property, led to the discovery of an extensive new mineral district along a 330-km trend in the northern reaches of the province. These three properties, collectively totalling 13,242 claims (5,755 km(2)), give Azimut a controlling land position along this prospective trend (see press releases of October 13 and October 31, 2011).
