Alcoa Recognized as Corporate Champion by The Women′s Forum of New York

Alcoa (NYSE:AA) was honored today by The Women′s Forum of New York as a
Corporate Champion for having 30 percent of its Board of Directors
composed of women.


Alcoa was one of 52 companies in the tri-state area recognized at the
organization′s Breakfast of Corporate Champions held this morning
at the New York Stock Exchange.


'Alcoa′s women Board members - Judy Gueron, Kathryn Fuller and Pat Russo
- have greatly impacted Alcoa′s success,? said Alcoa Chairman and CEO
Klaus Kleinfeld. 'Their broad experience and unique perspectives have
distinguished them as outstanding leaders and valued role models at
Alcoa.?


Dr. Judith Gueron is Alcoa Lead Director, elected to the Board in 1988.
She also is Chairwoman of the Governance and Nominating Committee and a
member of the Executive Committee and the Public Issues Committee. Dr.
Gueron is Scholar in Residence at MDRC, a nonprofit research
organization that designs, manages and studies projects to increase the
self-sufficiency of economically disadvantaged groups.


Kathryn Fuller was elected to Alcoa′s Board of Directors in 2002 and is
a member of the Compensation and Benefits Committee and Public Issues
Committee. Ms. Fuller is Chair of the Smithsonian′s National Museum of
Natural History. She retired as Chair of the Ford Foundation in 2010,
having served in that position for six years. Ms. Fuller is the retired
President and Chief Executive Officer of World Wildlife Fund (US), one
of the world′s largest nature conservation organizations, which she
joined in 1989.


Patricia Russo joined Alcoa′s Board of Directors in 2008 and serves as
the Chairwoman of the Compensation and Benefits Committee. She is also a
member of the Executive Committee and the Governance and Nominating
Committee. She is the former chief executive officer of Lucent
Technologies and its successor, Alcatel-Lucent, a communications
equipment manufacturer. Besides serving on Alcoa′s Board, she is the
lead director of GM, and is a member of the boards at Merck & Co.,
Hewlett-Packard and Kohlberg Kravis-Roberts & Co.
