Savant Explorations Ltd. Announces Board Changes and Granting of Options to Officers and Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/14/11 -- Savant Explorations Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SVT) ('Savant') is pleased to announce that Mr. Reginald Advocaat has been appointed to the Board.

Mr. Advocaat has 29 years experience in the junior mining sector initially as broker and trader with Pacific International Securities Inc. with a primary role of underwriting junior resource companies. Since 1986 and prior to his current role as President of Fortunate Sun Mining Company Ltd., Mr. Advocaat worked as an investor relations and corporate development consultant for several TSX listed companies including Eldorado Gold Corp. and Great Panther Resources Ltd. Mr. Advocaat played a primary role in raising over $100 million for public companies during his career.

Mr. Advocaat replaces Mr. Ron Simpson who has retired from the Board. Savant wishes to thank Mr. Simpson for his role in the startup of Savant and his dedication and efforts on behalf of Savant over the past four and half years.

The Board of Directors has approved the granting of stock options to directors, officers and consultants for the purchase of 1,250,000 common shares of the Company. The options are granted pursuant to the Company's Stock Option Plan and have an exercise price of $0.10 per share, a term of five years and are fully vested.
