Sacre-Coeur Minerals Announces Recent Million Mountain Drilling Results; Up To 49.2 G/T Au In Narrow Veins
SACRE-COEUR MINERALS, LTD. (the 'Company') today announced that
it has received and analyzed assay results from the initial drill
testing of targets represented by IP anomalies generated by a ground,
dipole-dipole IP survey conducted over possible extensions of the
Company′s Million Mountain Zone 1 deposit located on its Lower Puruni
block of properties in North-Central Guyana. Three of the five initial
holes which have been assayed encountered significant sulphide
mineralization disseminated in the Quartz-Monzonite host rock ranging to
approximately 10% total sulphides, thus confirming the IP anomalies.
Assays did not show appreciable gold in association with the
disseminated sulphide mineralization. However, hole #18911 encountered
several narrow veins exhibiting significant gold values, including 0.30
meters grading 49.2 g/t Au, and 0.33 meters grading 20.0 g/t Au. Holes
MM19111 and MM19311 encountered lesser values generally restricted to
veining. (see table of results below).

These results suggest that more than one mineralizing event has been
superimposed on this deposit. The low sulfidation, high grade gold
values present in some of the vein intercepts are believed to be the
result of a later stage hydrothermal event along existing tight
fractures and shear zones associated with a Northwest-Southeast linear
feature which has been interpreted to have intersected and offset the
northeast-east-trending Puruni shear zone in the vicinity of Million
Mountain Zone 1. Structural analysis is now being performed on this
Northwest-Southeast linear feature to identify zones of intersecting
structures which would create a more permissive depositional environment
for this evidently robust later phase of gold mineralization.
Based on this information, we will be focusing our efforts on defining
the structural elements which will potentially guide us to significant
additions to the Zone 1 resource. Further drilling on Zone 1 will be
deferred while we analyze all available structural data to generate
focused targets to test when drilling resumes. In the meantime, we are
placing maximum effort on development of our alluvial exploration and
mining program, which is coming along well. We will be releasing
information regarding gold production and sales from this program
shortly. While our ultimate goal remains to define major hard-rock gold
deposits, we believe that in the context of current market conditions,
it is imperative that we maximize revenue generation from our alluvial
program for capital self-sufficiency.

The Company′s exploration program is overseen by Mr. Henry Salvado,
Registered Geologist and Exploration Manager for the Company, under the
overall supervision of Mr. Gregory B. Sparks, P. Eng., President and
CEO. Mr. Salvado is assisted by Mr. Bjorn Jeune, Sr. Project Geologist
and Mr. Wilmar Ladia, Sr. Project Geologist. Mr. Ardito Martohardjono a
Director of the Company, and a laboratory specialist provides assistance
with lab protocols, sample handling procedures, and assay quality
control. The undersigned and Mr. Salvado are qualified persons under NI
43-101.
