Azimut appoints Roger Walsh as Senior Consultant

is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Roger Walsh as Senior Consultant Business Development. Mr. Walsh's principal mandate will be to support Azimut's corporate growth through further development of its partnership strategy.Mr. Walsh has gained extensive experience and forged solid relationships in the international mining and exploration sector, and has worked with a wide range of companies on the acquisition, divestment or joint venturing of mineral properties in many jurisdictions around the world. Mr. Walsh has held senior corporate development roles in a number of public companies, including Aurizon Mines Ltd, Jinshan Gold Mines Inc and Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. Prior to these corporate roles, Mr. Walsh was a founding partner of a corporate advisory firm providing acquisition, divestment and strategic advisory services to the international mining sector.
Azimut's core business is generating high-quality major exploration targets using cutting-edge data processing in parallel with partnership development. In eight years, Azimut has signed 29 strategic and option agreements with partners, including three with Rio Tinto, two with Goldcorp, two with IAMGOLD, and two with Aurizon Mines.
Azimut's main assets are the Rex, Rex South and NCG properties that collectively provide a controlling land position along a 330-km long trend covering an emerging new polymetallic district (Copper, Gold, Silver, Tungsten) in Nunavik, Northern Quebec. Other major properties include five gold projects located in the vicinity of the world-class Eleonore gold deposit in the James Bay region, and the North Rae uranium property in Nunavik. Azimut holds the largest mineral exploration portfolio in Quebec.
