Bioleaching has been used commercially since 1986. There are over 20 plants that have operated, or are still operating today, three of which were designed by BacTech. This video provides a simulation of our process starting with a contaminated pile of tailings and finishing with the production of gold liberated by bioleaching and non-toxic byproducts that can be land filled.

BacTech is currently conducting due diligence on multiple projects in Canada, U.S.A, South America and Europe. Work is underway on the Economic Assessment for Snow Lake, Manitoba and it is expected that the study will be completed by April 2012.
Finally, BacTech announced today that it has extended its Private Placement financing, announced December 13, 2011, for an additional 30 days.
