Teras Receives Remaining Assay Results from Its Core Drill Program and Begins Drilling Its 20,000 Meter RC Program
12.10.2011 | Marketwired
CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire - Oct. 12, 2011) - Teras Resources Inc. (“Teras“ or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:TRA): Teras is pleased to announce the receipt of assay results from the completed diamond drill program that was conducted at the Cahuilla gold-silver Project in Imperial County, California. The Cahuilla Project is a large epithermal, paleo-hot springs system hosting multiple high grade veins that occur within an extensive body of disseminated gold-silver mineralization. For further information on the Cahuilla project refer to the NI 43-101 technical report entitled “Cahuilla Property 43-101 Technical Report,“ dated October 25, 2007 prepared by Todd Wakefield, MAusIMM of AMEC E&C Services filed on Sedar on November 15, 2007.
The purpose of the drill program was to test the surface dimensions and down dip extensions of the outcropping sheeted quartz veins on High Grade Hill to better plan the current 20,000 meter drill program which started on September 26th, 2011. A series of fences of shallow holes were drilled to test for continuity of veins and enhance existing gold/silver mineralization. Assaying of the core was conducted by Inspectorate Laboratory in Reno, Nevada. The samples were collected by Mr. Paul Stubbe (project geologist), they were then split in half for sampling and assaying purposes. The split core was then placed in sample bags and delivered to Inspectorate laboratory in Reno Nevada for processing.
Results from the remaining holes are as follows:
The results from the core program have identified the areas for the company to focus the more extensive reverse circulation drill program which is currently in progress. The principle objectives of this drill program are to explore the many high grade gold veins that have been encountered throughout the project area and focus on the expansion of disseminated gold/silver mineralization that was defined by historic drilling and report the results in a NI 43-101 report.
