Lithium Corporation Receives San Emidio Analytical Results
Lithium Corporation (OTCBB: LTUM) (the 'Company', or 'Lithco?) is
pleased to announce that it has received results from its drilling
program on the San Emidio playa prospect in Washoe County, Nevada.
The shallow drilling at San Emidio has indicated that lithium in brine
mineralization does exist here at depths down to at least 87 feet in the
general area where near surface brines were discovered in 2011 that
contained up to 80 mg/L lithium. The last two holes of this years
program along the axis of the North Westerly trending lithium anomaly
outlined during the 2011 program returned, 21.4, and 23.7 mg/L lithium,
with high calcium, and potassium values, and moderate boron and
magnesium values. Lithium values and temperature were seen to be rising
in these last two of the fence of drill holes that were drilled here,
and possibly indicate that values may increase northward, and also
perhaps at depth here.
Lithium Corporation intends to focus its efforts this year on its Fish
Lake Valley Playa prospect, where the Company has received its best
results to date. Lithium Corporation has not been able to drill this
prospect the last two field seasons due to unusually wet conditions, and
so wants ensure that it does everything possible to advance this
prospect in 2012. Recent research for a 43-101 report on the property
currently being written by James Chapman PGeo has uncovered a reference
that indicates that the property produced two tons per day of Boron
salts in the 1870′s from the area where the Company has outlined a zone
of strongly anomalous Lithium/Boron/Potassium in brine mineralization
(Papke, K.G., Evaporites And Brines In Nevada Playas, 1976). The company
finds it quite encouraging that production of this magnitude was
achieved here, and interprets this to indicate that the basin should be
able to support an operation of at least this size in the future.
