Mary Ann Mihychuk, M Sc., P Geo. requested that she step down from the board to assume the role of Vice President, Operations for BacTech Manitoba Corporation ("BMC"). BMC has 100% ownership of the Snow Lake project on behalf of BacTech. Being a business leader, the former Mines Minister, a geologist and a native of Manitoba she has a strong affinity to seeing this project through to completion," said Ross Orr, President and CEO of BacTech.
In addition, BacTech is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Whalen to the board of BacTech. The stockpile was created from production attributable to the aforementioned mine in the 1950s.
Prior to being involved with High River, Don spent 29 years with IBM Canada Ltd. He is the past Chairman of the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA)(1998-2008) and he was Co-Chair of the Canada Russia Business Council (2004-2006). He currently sits on the boards of Pancontinental Uranium Corp., Rosscan Minerals Corporation, SouthTech Capital Corporation and VMS Ventures Inc.
