7 June 2012: African Eagle Resources plc ("African Eagle" or the "Company") (AIM: AFE; AltX: AEA) today announces Andrew Robertson, Finance Director, is leaving the Company to pursue other interests.
The Company expects to announce the appointment of a new Finance Director shortly. In the meantime, an interim Chief Financial Officer has been appointed to oversee the finance function of the Company.
Commenting on the announcement, African Eagle's Chairman Chris Pointon said "I would like to thank Andrew for his considerable help over the past six months in progressing our transition to focus on Dutwa's development and we wish him the best in his future endeavours."
Accordingly, resolution 4 set out in the notice of annual general meeting due to be held on Wednesday 20 June 2012, which asks shareholders to approve Andrew Robertson's re-election as a Director of the Company, is withdrawn by the Board and will not be put to vote by the shareholders at the annual general meeting.
