Great Atlantic Resources Corp.: Due to High Interest Financing Increased From $300,000 to $600,000

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - October 9, 2012 - GREAT ATLANTIC RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV.GR) is pleased to announce that it has revised the amount of a non-brokered private placement announced October 5, 2012. The private placement has been increased to 6,000,000 units at a price of $0.10 per unit in the capital stock for total gross proceeds of $600,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one share purchase warrant. Each share purchase warrant will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one additional share of the Company at a price of $0.12 per share for a period of eighteen months from the closing date of the private placement. Closing of this placement is conditional upon approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. A finder's fee of up to 8% may be payable.
