Arabia District Nevada Consolidated and Advanced by Renaissance Gold
Renaissance Gold Inc. (TSX:REN) ('RenGold?) is pleased to
announce trench results and patented claim consolidation of the Arabia
District, Pershing County Nevada. The Arabia District, discovered in
1859, was a significant silver, lead, antimony, and gold producer that
exploited the oxidized parts of a large swarm of mesothermal
quartz-sulfide-sulfosalt veins. The vein swarm appears to be an orogenic
system that is temporally, and possibly, genetically associated with
felsite dikes and sills of probable Cretaceous age that intrude
granodiorite bodies and phyllites of the Jurassic to Triassic Auld Lang
Syne Group. This association is similar to that of the Spring Valley
project 24 kilometers to the east (Barrick and Midway Gold) which is
reported to contain a 4.2 million ounce gold resource that is still open.
RenGold consolidated the Arabia District by purchasing seven patented
claims and by completing lease/purchase agreements on eight additional
patents. The intervening ground is BLM-ma naged and controlled by
RenGold with 153 unpatented mining claims.
The targets at Arabia include vein swarms exposed in a window,
approximately 1 kilometer by 2 kilometers in dimension, bounded by
post-mineral volcanic cover on the west, south and east and by phyllitic
country rock to the north. Zones of high density veins near surface
present the opportunity for exploitation by open pit. High-grade
mineralization in these zones could be amenable to underground mining.
RenGold recently completed a trenching and channel sampling program on
three of the patented claims. Mineralization in these trenches includes
widespread faults, quartz veins, stockworks and disseminations in
granodiorite. Results are reported below for the following cut offs Au
0.10 g/t, Ag 10 g/t, Sb 0.1 %, Pb 0.5%.

This new data is compatible with drill results on another patented claim
by New Sleeper Gold in 2005. New Sleeper drilled four angle diamond
drill holes (total of 358 meters) in the main eastern part of the
district (over seven hundred meters to the southeast of the eastern most
sampling of the trenches reported above by RenGold). Core recovery
mostly exceeded 90 percent. The highest grades intersected were 352 gpt
Ag and 1.36 gpt Au over 0.40 meters in hole JDD-02-05. This patent is
now controlled by RenGold. A summary of results for the New Sleeper
drilling, as reported by New Sleeper Gold, includes:

Richard Bedell, President & CEO, comments: 'This may be the first time
the Arabia District has been consolidated as there were 15 patented
claims owned by 5 different parties prior to our acquisitions. The
patents allow us to operate with minimal permitting and so far the data
are attractive, indicating potential for open pit mining. The density of
veining is impressive and we think that there is more to come.?
