Darwin channel samples 26 metres @ 1.28g/t gold at Suriloma, Peru

VANCOUVER, Dec. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Darwin Resources Corp ("Darwin" or the "Company") (TSXV:DAR) (OTCPK:DARWF): Dr. Graham Carman, President & CEO, is pleased to provide an update on recent sampling at the Company's Suriloma gold project in the Department of La Libertad Peru, including new channel results from La Puerta area:

Highlights

• Highlights of three new channels at La Puerta area are as follows:
• 26 metres @ 1.28g/t gold + 0.5g/t silver from Zone A , including 2 metres @ 5.0g/t Au + 1.1g/t Ag;
• 6 metres @ 1.52g/t gold + 2.5g/t silver from Zone A including 2 metres @ 2.24g/t Au + 3.0g/t Ag;
• 15.5 metres @ 1.0g/t gold + 4g/t silver from Zone B, including 2 metres @ 1.93g/t Au + 1.4g/t Ag;
• La Puerta epithermal structure consists of two gold-silver zones ('Zone A' and  'Zone B') up to 80 metres in total width and 1 kilometre in length, with each zone separated by 20-45 metres;
  
  
• Channel sampling is continuing at La Puerta principally to identify extensions of the mineralization along strike;
  
  
• Suriloma has never been drilled - the Company is planning its maiden drill program during Q1 2013.

Dr Graham Carman states: "Surface channel sampling at Suriloma continues to impress in terms of continuity and regularity of sampled gold mineralization and the scale of the mineral system.  In channel sampling to date at La Puerta, mineralization has been identified for at least 500 metres of strike and is still open in both directions.  Based on sporadic outcrop, we believe La Puerta structure has a strike potential of at least 1 kilometre. Elsewhere at Suriloma, five other gold-silver prospects have been identified within a 7km x 3km area which is 100% controlled by Darwin, with geochemical results for these areas expected before years end. "

"Importantly, Darwin is progressing well with the community relations at Suriloma in order to have drill permits in place soon.  A community workshop is programmed for the first week of December, and an environmental baseline study has been completed.  Our maiden drill program, the first ever at Suriloma, is planned for Q1 2013."

Significant gold and silver channel results at La Puerta are highlighted in Figure 1 and summarised in Table 1 below.

The qualified person, Dr Graham Carman, Darwin's President and CEO, and a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, has reviewed and verified the contents of this release.   Channels were dug to a depth of up to 30cm depth across continuous subcropping zones covered by thin soils using a pick and chisel.  Each continuous channel sample was typically 2m in length.  Channel samples are considered representative of the in-situ mineralization sampled and channel widths quoted approximate the true width of mineralization. Samples were analyzed by Certimin in Lima for gold using a 50g fire assay with an atomic absorption finish (method G0107), and for silver and other trace elements by ICP using an aqua regia digestion (method G0146).
