Alix Reports Positive Assays for First Phase of Sampling at Golden Granite, Yavapai County, Arizona
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/19/13 -- ALIX RESOURCES CORP. ("Alix" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: AIX)(FRANKFURT: 37N) is pleased to announce results for its first phase of mapping and sampling at the Golden Granite Property, located 112 kilometers (70 miles) northwest of Phoenix along Highway 93. The 518 hectare (1,280 acre) property includes the historic Big Stick Mine, and the Santa Maria - Homestake Mine which was acquired last month (see Alix news release, January 16th, 2013). Composite chip sampling returned 3.29 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 10 meters, and two sets of three contiguous samples averaged 0.30 g/t Au over 27.5 meters, and 0.21 g/t Au over 45.5 meters.
Roughly 365 hectares (900 acres) of the project area have been mapped, and 19 composite chip samples were collected over the same area. The mapping has revealed that in detail, Proterozoic exposures are a mixture of granite, gneiss and schist. Younger cover in the area consists of Tertiary volcanic and sedimentary rocks, and Quaternary cover. Composite chip sampling focused on exposures of iron-oxide stained and variably fractured granite. The samples were submitted to ALS Minerals (North Vancouver, B.C.) for gold assay using protocol Au-SCR24. Half of the samples returned assays greater than 0.2 g/t Au. Sample details and results are listed in the table below.

Alix President and CEO Mike England states, "The phase-one sampling is widely-spaced and reconnaissance in nature, but the results demonstrate that our claim position lies within a gold-enriched region. We intend to follow up with more intensive sampling and mapping in the coming weeks."
