Zincore Appoints David Terry as Vice President of Exploration
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/17/13 -- Zincore Metals Inc. (TSX: ZNC)(LMA: ZNC) ("Zincore", the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed David Terry as Vice President of Exploration, effective immediately.
Zincore CEO and President, Jorge Benavides, stated, "We are very pleased to have a person of David's calibre join our team. His extensive experience in exploration and both project and corporate development will benefit the Company as we complete the pre-feasibility study at our Accha Zinc Oxide District project and seek to increase the mineral resource potential at our more than 60,000 hectares property package in the mining prolific Yauri-Andahuaylas region of southern Peru."
Dr. Terry is a professional geologist, senior executive and corporate director with more than 20 years' experience in the resource sector. During his career he has had significant experience in the acquisition, exploration and development of a wide spectrum of precious and base metal projects and deposits throughout North and South America, including Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. He has particular expertise in advanced project evaluations, acquisitions, and design and implementation of cost effective goal-oriented exploration programs.
Dr. Terry holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in geology from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. In the course of his career, he has held management, senior executive and director positions with a number of public and private mineral resource companies and has worked with a number of senior producers including Boliden Limited, Westmin Resources Limited, Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., Cominco Limited and Gold Fields Mining Corporation.
