SLAM Announces Change of Auditor

New Auditors, new CFO; Company to focus on emerging gold play

MIRAMICHI, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwired - Aug 6, 2013) - SLAM Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SXL) (OTCBB:SLMF) ("SLAM" or the "Company") announces that the board of directors of the Company has appointed A. Chan and Company LLP as the Company's new auditors, replacing McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP. The Company has filed a Notice of Change of Auditor in respect of this change under its profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.

This change of auditor complements the appointment of director Eugene Beukman as Company CFO. Both SLAM's accounting and auditor requirements will be provided from Vancouver. The Company expects considerable cost savings going forward as economies of scale and proximity to the CFO will generate from these changes. There were no reportable events between the Company and its former auditors and SLAM would like to thank McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP for their service.

About the Maisie Gold Zone:

Since discovery in 2012, the Company has traced the Maisie zone over a 700 m strike length and to a depth of 45 m with trenching and drilling programs. During the 2012 trenching program, the Company reported numerous sites of visible gold with bonanza grade assays as it uncovered the vein system. The Company is planning additional trenching combined with bulk sampling of the bonanza sections of this vein. The Company also plans to test for extensions of the Maisie vein within the 10 km by 3 km soil anomaly associated with the vein system. SLAM's exploration team has already identified additional gold occurrences within this soil anomaly.
