Endurance Initiates 2013 Rattlesnake Hills Exploration Program, Wyoming
03.09.2013 | FSCwire
Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, September 03, 2013 /FSC/ - Endurance Gold Corp. (EDG - TSX Venture, "Endurance"),has initiated a summer and fall field program on its Rattlesnake-Natrona Gold Property in Natrona County, Wyoming. A program of prospecting, mapping, soil sampling and claim staking has been initiated. The Company's 100% controlled and optioned land position now encompasses about 6,997 acres. A map illustrating the location of the current Endurance Property is available for viewing at www.endurancegold.com.
To date, the summer program has confirmed the discovery of the QL Copper Prospect which has recently returned copper values from a single grab sample which assayed 2.65% total copper associated with malachite, chrysocolla and copper wad. A second grab sample, located 93 metres away, returned 2750 ppm copper associated with an iron-oxide gossan. Both of the copper-rich samples are hosted within brecciated fine grained and hematized chalcedonic quartz which postdates the Achaean-aged metasediments that outcrop in the area. Both copper occurrences are about 50 metres from the intrusive contact with an Eocene aged quartz latite intrusive. A mapping program and soil sampling grid has commenced over these new prospect areas.
Other areas on Endurance's property host previously reported gold values in grab samples up to 1.1 grams per tonnes gold ("gpt Au") in crackle breccia. The most encouraging STP-DC target area identified to date is three (3) kilometres north of Evolving Gold Corp. ("EVG") North Stock Discovery and about one (1) kilometre east along the interpreted structural trend from EVG's Bald Mountain drill target which has reported chip samples up to 7.45 gpt Au and 5.17 gpt Au associated with breccia. Within this exploration area three additional soil grids and prospecting are planned in areas not previously subjected to systematic sampling.
Endurance now controls at least eighteen (18) Tertiary volcanic complexes which define both the northern half and eastern and western extensions of the Rattlesnake Hills Gold District, Wyoming. These Tertiary-aged volcanic complexes are related to the known gold mineralization in the district. The District encompasses an area over 15 square kilometres and includes Endurance's 6,997 acre property and EVG's 14,250 acre Rattlesnake Hills Property. At EVG's North Stock Discovery, drill results previously announced by EVG include 2.92 gpt Au over 146.3 metres, 10.8 gpt Au over 67.1 metres, and 2.74 gpt Au over 131.1 metres associated with breccia related to the Tertiary intrusions.
The geological setting of the Rattlesnake Hills Gold District is similar to the setting for large scale alkaline intrusive hosted gold deposits within the Rocky Mountain alkalic gold province, that include Cripple Creek, in Colorado, which has produced 20 million ounces of gold to date.
About Endurance
Endurance Gold Corp. is a company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of highly prospective North American mineral properties with the potential to develop world-class deposits. The Company's exploration focus, for projects operated by Endurance, is intrusive-related mineral systems with potential for discovery of major new precious or rare metals deposits, and its business plan offers shareholders exposure to several majority-owned exploration projects with significant discovery potential such as the Bandito Rare Earth-Niobium Property in the Yukon, the Elephant Gold Property in Alaska, and the Rattlesnake Hills Gold Property in Wyoming. The Company also participates in the Pardo Gold Joint Venture, a Witwatersrand-type paleo-placer gold target in Ontario.

Bedrock grab samples are selective by nature and are unlikely to represent average grades within the QL copper prospect, or other gold prospects. Trenching and/or drilling will be required to adequately expose or determine weighted average copper and gold values.
All 2013 rock samples were analyzed at ALS Minerals Vancouver using ME-MS41 and Au-ICP22. In this release, over limit analysis for copper were assayed using Cu-OG46 for total copper (Aqua regia digestion and ICP finish).
