Renaissance Gold Appoints New CFO

Renaissance Gold Inc. (TSX:REN) (“RenGold”) reports that Doris Meyer notified the Company of her decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer with effect from October 1, 2013. Ms. Meyer has served in this role since the Company’s inception in May 2010. She will remain as Corporate Secretary.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Richard Bedell, President and Chief Executive Officer of RenGold, would like to thank Ms. Meyer for her many contributions over the years as Chief Financial Officer and is pleased that she will remain on as Corporate Secretary.

Dan O’Brien has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. O’Brien is a Chartered Accountant and was previously a senior manager at a leading Canadian accounting firm where he specialized in the audit of public companies in the mining and resource sector.
