Kombat Copper Inc. commences drilling at Namibian EPL's
05.03.2013 | CNW
VANCOUVER, March 5, 2013 - Kombat Copper Inc. (the "Company") (TSX.V: KBT) is pleased to report that Company geologists have identified and commenced work on priority copper targets within its Exclusive Prospecting Licences ("EPLs"). The Company's EPL's are located in the highly prospective Otavi Mountainland of northern Namibia. Please refer to attached diagram.
At EPL 3941, diamond drilling is now underway to test the down dip extension of the "Domingo I showing" approximately 3 kilometres to the south-southeast from the Tsumeb mine and located on the south limb of the Tsumeb syncline. The Domingo I showing consists of dolostone outcrop with chalcopyrite and galena mineralisation and the drill target is based on characteristics similar to surface geology at the world famous Tsumeb mine.
A second priority drilling target has been established on EPL 3942; approximately 1.3 kilometres to the east of the Domingo showing. Heckers Breccia, also known as "Domingo III" a strongly silicified chert breccia with copper oxide mineralisation in the form of malachite and chalcocite lies along the south limb of the Tsumeb syncline approximately 4.5 kilometres from the Tsumeb mine. It has been identified as a priority target due to its proximity to Domingo I and the Tsumeb mine. This target is being tested with a short Rotary Air Blast ("RAB") drilling program.
Mr. Alexander Helmel, the Company's President states: "We are excited to begin exploration on these EPLs. Historical information and existing mineralisation on both ours and neighbouring EPLs lead us to believe we have some very significant targets which have yet to be adequately tested. We look forward to releasing positive results at the completion of these exploration programs."

About Kombat Copper Inc.
Kombat Copper Inc. is a public Canadian exploration and development company focused on the acquisition of copper assets in southwestern Africa. The Company recently acquired the Kombat Copper Project which consists of a past producing mine, mill and concentrator historically capable of processing 1,000 tonnes of ore per day. The project has more than 100 years of production history and is located in northern Namibia, a region known for copper production from high grade deposits. In addition to these historically producing assets, the Company has acquired five EPL's in close proximity to the mill and concentrator, near the town of Tsumeb. These highly prospective EPL's cover an area of more than 2,250 square kilometres. The Kombat Copper management team and founders have a considerable amount of experience in Namibia and internationally, and combines managerial, financial and technical expertise used to generate value for project stakeholders.
