Aldrin Completes Radon Survey on the Triple M Property Adjacent to Patterson Lake

14.11.2013  |  Marketwired

Aldrin's Triple M radon survey returns strong anomalies up to 1.68 pCi/m2/s

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov 14, 2013) - Aldrin Resource Corp. ("Aldrin") (TSX VENTURE:ALN) is very pleased to announce completion of their surface radon survey covering the Triple M Property in northern Saskatchewan with 527 sample sites. The radon survey was conducted under contract to Aldrin by RadonEx Exploration Management ("RadonEx"), based in St. Lazare, Quebec.

RadonEx is the same contractor used by the Fission Uranium Corp. and Alpha Minerals Inc. ("Fission-Alpha") joint venture to define radon anomalies that Fission-Alpha used to discover several of their high-grade uranium zones at Patterson Lake. Fission-Alpha's Patterson Lake discovery comprises 5 zones, all open-ended, and most recently a sixth zone extending the discovery on shore to the west towards the Aldrin property. Aldrin's Triple M Uranium Property is located adjacent to and southwest of Fission-Alpha's Patterson Lake discovery property.

Aldrin's radon survey returned elevated values over more than 1 km of a bedrock conductor, which is interpreted as a steeply south dipping fault zone, based on earlier interpretation of Aldrin's proprietary airborne VTEM survey (see Aldrin news release dated June 18 and July 24, 2013). The most intense portion of this radon anomaly reaches a high value of 1.68 pCi/m2/s and extends for more than 200 m comprising a priority drill target. The prioritized fault zone parallels the Patterson Lake conductor, which hosts Fission-Alpha's high-grade uranium discovery.

Additional radon anomalies returning values up to 1.18 pCi/m2/s were discovered on associated with the Triple M Property's second strong VTEM basement conductor, which is located north of, and parallel to, the fault zone.

Aldrin's CEO Johnathan More states, "We are very excited to incorporate RadonEx's survey results as we refine our drill targets on the Triple M Property. These positive radon results increase our confidence that the VTEM conductors are uranium mineralized."

Harrison Cookenboo, Ph.D., and P.Geo., is Vice President, Exploration and Development for Aldrin, and a Qualified Person (QP) by the standards of National Instrument 43-101. He has reviewed the technical data described above and approves the contents of this news release.
