Dalradian's Application for Underground Work Approved
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2013) - Dalradian Resources Inc. ("Dalradian" or the "Company") (TSX:DNA) announces that Omagh District Council (ODC) has voted to ratify the recommendation from the Strategic Planning Division of the Northern Ireland Department of Environment to approve Dalradian's permit application for underground exploration development at its Curraghinalt Gold Project in County Tyrone. The approval is subject to terms and conditions which will be issued by Strategic Planning. Based on the achievement of this key milestone, Dalradian has initiated hiring of a number of technical personnel required for the underground workings and has put out to tender the surface and underground contracts for the project.
"We appreciate the support we've received for the next phase of our project from all levels of government as well as our local communities," commented Patrick F.N. Anderson, Dalradian's CEO. "We look forward to continuing to advance Curraghinalt, which showed positive results in our Preliminary Economic Assessment last year. This next phase of underground development and bulk sampling will allow us to further prove up the economics of the project."
The underground exploration development phase will consist of an additional 2,000 m of underground development and is intended to:
- Confirm the grade, thickness and continuity of the mineralized veins
- Test various mining methods
- Evaluate underground geotechnical and hydrogeological conditions
- Provide a large bulk sample for additional metallurgical testing
