VANCOUVER, Dec. 30, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Panoro Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: PML, Lima: PML, Frankfurt: PZM) ("Panoro", the "Company") Panoro announced with sadness, that Mr. Jaime Quijandría Salmón, a non-executive director of the Company, passed away suddenly on December 30, 2013. Mr. Quijandría has served as a director of the Company since August 30, 2011.
Mr. Quijandría was the former minister of Energy and Mines in Peru as he was appointed by President Alejandro Toledo in July 2001. He served in the position for two years before being appointed Minister of Finance in July 2003. He resigned in October 2004 to assume the office of Executive Management of the World Bank, representing Perú, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.

He has been a leading figure in the evolution of Peru's modern economy.
