Quebec Autorite Des Marches Financiers Files Charges Against Officers of Golden Hope
Montreal, March 25, 2014 - Golden Hope Mines Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: GNH) - The Autorite des Marches Financiers ("AMF") has filed charges against two officers of Golden Hope Mines Ltd. ("GNH, or the Company") Frank Candido, President, and Sasha Asgary, Corporate Secretary and Director of Corporate Communications.
The proceeding was initiated under article 195.2 of the Quebec Securities Act for having allegedly influenced or attempted to influence the price of GNH shares by improper means on investment discussion websites. In each case, the AMF is seeking an administrative penalty of $25,000 and prohibition from acting as a director or officer for 18 months.
Mr. Candido is contesting the allegations. Mr. Asgary will resign as officer of the Company.
