Pure Energy inerals Limited Welcomes Tesla Motors Nevada Decision

VANCOUVER, BC, United States, via ETELIGIS INC., 09/09/2014 - Pure Energy Minerals Limited (TSXV-PE), (TSX VENTURE: PE), ("Pure Energy" or the "Company"), is pleased to acknowledge the announcement on September 4th from Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Tesla Motors Inc. (Tesla) CEO Elon Musk, that a location near Reno, Nevada has been selected for Teslas $5 billion lithium ion battery factory. The Gigafactory, is expected to produce more than all of the current lithium-ion battery production in the world today.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that the plant, once it's completely operational, will comprise about 10 million square feet. Running at full capacity, the factory will produce 500,000 battery packs a year. The Gigafactory will use around 25,000 metric tons of lithium each year. Nevada is home to the only lithium mine in the U.S., Rockwood Lithiums Silver Peak lithium brine mine which is adjacent to Pure Energy's Lithium assets

Pure Energy CEO Robert Mintak stated The transformation of the transportation industry from gasoline to electricity requires enough energy storage to power vehicles for hundreds of miles. The answer to meet these energy storage demands is advanced batteries that are made from lithium. Elon Musks plan for a multi-billion dollar Gigafactory to fuel mass-market Tesla electric cars will consequently provide significant demand to the lithium industry and advance the development of domestic lithium exploration and production.

Pure Energys Lithium Brine project is located in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The Companys 5,000 acre CV/DB claims are adjacent to Rockwood Lithiums Silver Peak mine which has been in production since 1966. The Company has recently begun its exploration drilling program. Well brine sampling and geo-hydrological surveys will be conducted in conjunction with this drilling along with analysis of historical data Additionally bulk samples from this program will be used to evaluate new evaporation and processing technologies for lithium recovery currently under review by Pure Energy.
