Westmoreland and FMC Corporation Ink Long-Term Coal Supply Agreement Extension
Westmoreland Coal Company (NasdaqGM:WLB), through its subsidiary Westmoreland Kemmerer, Inc., today announced the signing of a long-term supply agreement with FMC Corporation (NYSE:FMC) from the Kemmerer Mine for FMC’s Westvaco and Granger operations. “Westmoreland views FMC as a key partner at our Kemmerer Mine. We are excited to have extended our relationship with FMC until 2026,” said Keith E. Alessi, Chief Executive Officer. “The contract extension provides Westmoreland an additional long-term cornerstone industrial customer at our Kemmerer Mine and we anticipate a continuing positive partnership,” he added.
“FMC is pleased to optimize and extend our contract with Westmoreland Coal as it gives us long-term, stable access to an important energy source,” said Tom Schneberger, Vice President, Global Business Director, FMC Alkali Chemicals. “We greatly value our long relationship with Westmoreland that benefits the competitiveness of both companies, the Wyoming economy and the communities of Southwest Wyoming.”
