MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2015) - EXPLORATION KHALKOS. ("Khalkos") (TSX VENTURE:KAS) - The management of Khalkos is pleased to announce the results of its surface sampling conducted during its due diligence in the summer of 2015 on its new Malartic property. Recall that Khalkos has signed a joint venture agreement to acquire 55% of Malartic property JAG Mines Ltd. (see press release dated June 16, 2015). Eight chosen samples were collected in a shear zone located 20 metres from Malrobic well and four others (#R174557, 558, 559 and 560) were collected 150 metres east of it. This sampling will, among other things, optimize the position of the future drill holes to be undertaken by Khalkos. The results are shown below:

Sample number Au g/t
R174551 1.35
R174552 4.94
R174553 293.90
R174554 6.45
R174555 0.41
R174556 nil
R174557 7.58
R174558 8.34
R174559 24.83

R174561 25.82
R174562 38.11

The sampled area containing gold values was stripped in the past, however, no samples collected in the shear returned with 293 g/t gold (9.44 oz/t Au) The metric shear zone is hosted within mafic lavas of the Blake River Group and is consisted of veinlets and stubby sheared quartz-carbonate with tourmaline, ankerite, pyrite and native gold.

The Malartic property consists of 24 claims covering 767 hectares in the Malartic mining camp 30 km northwest of the city of Val-d'Or. The property, intersected over 3 km with a gold shear zone, is host to the Malrobic gold deposit. The property is located near major gold producers, in the heart of the Cadillac deformation zone, just 7 km from the Lapa mine (Agnico Eagle "AEM"), 11 km from the Canadian Malartic mine (Yamana "AEM"), and 20 km from the Laronde mine (AEM), as well as, on the same geological contact where the gold mines Doyon-Bousquet, Laronde and Westwood are located.

The 12 samples taken on the Malartic property were analyzed by the laboratory of Bourlamaque of Val-d'Or, Quebec. Following the fire assay method, samples greater than 10 g/t were re-analyzed by gravimetric method. The samples were prepared according to standard laboratory procedures.
