Strike Diamond Corp. Outlines Identified Geophysical Targets at the Sask Craton Project
10.12.2015 | FSCwire
Vancouver, BC (FSCwire) - Strike Diamond Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SRK) ("Strike Diamond" or “the Corporation”) is pleased to report additional details from its recent airborne survey completed on the Corporation’s diamond exploration project in Saskatchewan (Sask Craton). The survey and third-party interpretation had as purpose to identify geophysical anomalies that may warrant further exploration for kimberlite potential.
As announced by news release dated November 17, 2015, Campbell and Walker Geophysics Limited (“C&W”), who interpreted the airborne data for Strike Diamond, identified a total of 19 anomalies classed as rank 3 targets. Subsequently, one target has been excluded by Strike Diamond from further consideration due to its location.
The Corporation has now compiled target data from the C&W report and corresponding geophysical anomalies from the airborne survey. As announced by news release dated September 16, 2015, the fixed-wing airborne survey was performed using 50-meter line spacing. The survey comprised of 8,730 line-kilometers acquired on east-west traverses.
Till sampling by various companies, including Strike Diamond, has identified prospective kimberlite indicator minerals throughout the Pikoo region.
C&W has recommended ground-based investigation on each of the 18 geophysical anomalies further described below.
Strike Diamond cautions that any or all of the identified geophysical targets may prove not to be kimberlitic in nature upon ground-based investigation.
Target Overview
Target 1
Target 1 is a geophysical anomaly potentially representing a structural/topographic break and is approximately 100m in diameter. It is an isolated and sub-circular high occurring in the bay of a lake.
