Sydney, Australia - Thomson Resources Ltd. (ASX:TMZ) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on a third phase of drilling at its Bygoo tin project near Ardlethan, NSW. The program is designed to follow up, confirm and extend the outstanding results from the first two rounds of drilling in 2015.
Drilling to date by Thomson has discovered new steeply dipping mineralised greisens with exceptional results; for example:
- 35m at 2.1% Sn from 44m (BNRC11)
- 11m at 1.0% from 66m (BNRC10)
- 11m at 1.4% from 88m (BNRC13)
- 10m at 2.0% from 124m (BNRC13)
- 5m at 1.3% Sn from 130m (BNRC04)
- 17m at 0.9% Sn from 119m (BNRC03)
The results to date have resulted in considerable changes to Thomson's original model. A recent geophysical survey (ultra deep ground-penetrating radar) has supported a new interpretation of three or more steeply dipping greisen veins and the drilling is designed to confirm the new model.
Around 800m of drilling is planned with between 6 to 8 holes and is scheduled to take two weeks with results expected by mid-April.
