Sultan Minerals Engages PBG Geoscience Ltd for its High Grade Gold Projects in BC

11.05.2016  |  The Newswire
Vancouver, May 11, 2016: Sultan Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: SUL; "the Company, "Sultan") is pleased to announce that it has engaged Perry Grunenberg, P. Geo., of PBG Geoscience to plan and permit sampling and metallurgical testing programs for its Kena and Daylight Gold Properties located 10 km south of the town of Nelson in southeastern, British Columbia.

The proposed work programs will involve trenching, sampling, bulk sampling, metallurgical testing and diamond drilling of high grade gold zones on each of the two properties. On the Kena property PBG have selected 9 sites for excavator trenching and sampling with 90 tonne bulk samples taken from each successful site. The sample will be trucked to an off-site processing facility. Diamond drilling is proposed for 5 sites where deeper sampling is necessary. The proposed Daylight exploration program recommends excavator trenching and sampling at 13 sites. Five 200 tonne bulk samples are proposed with the samples trucked offsite for processing. Diamond drilling is proposed for 10 sites where deeper sampling is required.

The 7,500 hectare Kena Property centres on an 8.0 km long gold belt that is host to the large, bulk tonnage, KGM gold deposit (Apr 21, 2016, News Release). The KGM deposit had been tested with 34,000 metres of diamond drilling in 214 drill holes. Drilling shows that the low grade deposit is comprised of a series of high grade veins and shoots that remain open along strike and at depth (April 2013, NI43-101 resource estimate). The proposed program will focus on testing the high grade mineralization.

The 500 hectare Daylight Crown Granted claims located adjacent to the Kena property are host to the historic high grade Daylight, Starlight, Victoria and Great Eastern gold mines. The four mines operated intermittently from 1898 to 1949 working narrow but high grade gold deposits, BC Minfile numbers: 082FSW172, 173, 174 and 175. On the Daylight property the proposed work program will test extensions to the historic mines and several recently discovered deposits (Oct 21, 2014, News Release).

Sultan director, Linda Dandy P.Geo., is working with Perry Grunenberg in planning the programs. The proposed work programs are subject to financing. Ms. Dandy is also Sultan's "Qualified Person" for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
