Orca Gold Metallurgical Drilling Intersects up to 30m of 6.58 g/t Au at its Block 14 Gold Project
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov 16, 2016) - Orca Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ORG) ("Orca" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the remaining assay results from the metallurgical core drilling at the Galat Sufar South (GSS) and Wadi Doum Deposits from the Block 14 Gold Project in Sudan.
The PQ and HQ sized diamond drill holes were drilled within the pit designs used for the Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA") completed in July this year (see the Company's news release dated July 26, 2016). The majority of these latest results are from testing of the oxide areas of the East and North East Zones at GSS. The last hole (MET014DD) reported was drilled into the fresh rock at Wadi Doum. Samples from this drilling are being used by SGS Mineral Services in South Africa to test the variability of metallurgical response throughout the two deposits.
The metallurgical drill results from this phase of drilling are tabulated in the table below, true widths of which are 60-70% of drilled width.
Hole | Zone | From | To | Metres | Au g/t |
MET009DD | East | 5 | 28 | 23 | 2.13 |
45 | 56 | 11 | 1.74 | ||
MET010DD | East | 0 | 28 | 28 | 1.61 |

MET014DD | Wadi Doum | 65 | 74.2 | 9.2 | 2.09 |

These intercepts, along with previously announced results (see below), complete the metallurgical drilling program of the Company's Pre-Feasibility Study ("PFS") scheduled for completion by the end of Q1 2017 (see the Company's news release dated July 26, 2016).

NOTE: Disclosed previously (see the Company's news release dated November 1, 2016)
Commenting on these latest results, Hugh Stuart, President and Director of Orca Gold, said, "GSS is a solid orebody with both good grade and extensive width. All but one of the latest holes are in oxide material, close to surface and show strong potential for extension of the mineralization, which is not yet fully defined from a geological perspective. We will be continuing to work on this area with the aim of developing additional resources and joining up some of the smaller pits in proximity. The metallurgical hole drilled at Wadi Doum, our high-grade satellite deposit, has further confirmed the presence of a northern higher grade zone, which will be targeted in the resource infill drill programme currently in progress. Elsewhere in Block 14, geotechnical drilling (1,420m) has now been completed, resource infill drilling is expected to be completed by month-end and water drilling to expand the HA8 aquifer and to carry out extensive pump testing has begun. We will continue to provide updates over the coming months as our Block 14 story develops."
