Vancouver, May 7, 2018 - Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: HPY) (the "Company") wishes to announce that it has received approval to conduct a normal course issuer bid (the "Bid") through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange to purchase up to 4,615,948 of the 92,318,976 issued and outstanding common shares of the Company, representing 5% of the Company's issued and outstanding common shares. The price the Company will pay for any Common Shares acquired under the normal course issuer bid will be the market price at the time of acquisition. The Company will not purchase common shares pursuant to the Bid if the total number of shares purchased in any 30-day period exceeds, in the aggregate, 2% of the total issued and outstanding common shares of the Company. Shares purchased pursuant to the Bid will be returned to treasury. Purchases may commence today and will terminate no later than May 7, 2019.
The Bid will be conducted on behalf of the Company by National Bank Financial. The Company is conducting the Bid as it believes that the market price of its common shares is such that it does not reflect the inherent value of the Company. The Company believes the purchase of its common shares constitute an appropriate use of its general funds in order to increase shareholder value.
