Newlox Gold Ventures Shares Video of the On-Site Analytical Laboratory (Video Enhanced)

21.10.2019  |  The Newswire
Vancouver, 21 October 2019 - This video was recently filmed on-location at the Newlox Gold Ventures Corp. ("Newlox") (CNSX:LUX.CN) (Frankfurt:NGO) environmental remediation and precious metals production facility in Central America.

A critical component of Newlox's business model is promptly and accurately undertaking analytical testing. Newlox's in-house laboratory utilizes fire assay and atomic absorption spectroscopy; the gold standards in mineral assay technology.

The Company can test solid and liquid samples to determine the precious metals content and, by keeping the laboratory in-house, is able to ensure secure chain-of-custody for incoming samples and real-time results.

Fire assaying is an analytical technique in which a metal or metals are separated from impurities by fusion processes and weighed in order to determine the amount present in the original sample. Metals tested by fire assay are recovered from the fusion of the material in an assay furnace, for gold, usually at temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius. This process is widely regarded as the most reliable method to determine the metal content of ores that contain precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum.

Atomic absorption spectroscopy is a spectroanalytical procedure that measures the concentration of elements in a solution using the wavelengths of light specifically absorbed by each element when vaporized in a high-temperature environment. The technique is so sensitive that it can measure the concentration of elements down to the parts per billion of a gram in a sample.

Recent News

The Company completed pre-production activities at the plant by May 27, 2019.

Since then, Newlox has established steady-state operations as announced on July 9, 2019. This production is a major milestone for the Company.

Pouring of gold dore has become a regular procedure for the Company, and management commends the operations team on their hard work and dedication. Newlox has posted a video demonstrating one of the many pours during the summer.

Building on that momentum, Newlox marked four months of continuous gold production on October 8, 2019 and shared a second video of gold dore being poured at the environmental remediation and precious metals production facility.

The Company looks forward to continuing its successful environmental remediation and gold recovery program.

About Newlox Gold Ventures Corp.

Newlox Gold Ventures Corp. is an environmental remediation company recovering contaminants and residual precious metals from historical waste left behind over more than a century of inefficient artisanal and small-scale mining in politically and socially stable jurisdictions in Latin America.

The Newlox environmentally and socially responsible business model has been deployed after extensive experience in the region and with the help of the Company's technical advisors at the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia ("UBC") which, provides the Company with unique advantages, such as not having to undertake exploration work or mining, resulting in dramatically reduced overall costs.

Newlox also benefits from the high grades characteristic of artisanal mine tailings due to the inefficient processing techniques used by the original miners.

With the guidance of its advisors at UBC, the Company has also identified important remediation technologies designed to recover deleterious materials present due to historical artisanal mining practices and is deploying these systems in the field as part of the commissioning process.

Newlox has signed agreements with local artisanal mining cooperatives to provide both a steady supply of historical tailings and a newly created feedstock for its first fully operational processing plant in Central America.

With hundreds of years of mining history in Latin America and inefficient artisanal processing continuing to this day, the Company has identified and secured a compelling opportunity to grow its business model. Newlox has identified a niche within the extractive industry where a clean-technology company can apply innovative processing techniques to recover not only precious metals but also effect positive change in the environmental and social landscape in its targeted jurisdictions of operations.
