Kingsman Resources Inc.: Assays Received on International Basin Property
07.12.2011 | Marketwired
VANCOUVER, 12/07/11 - Kingsman Resources Inc. is pleased to provide an update on the results from its drill program on its International Basin Project near Golden, British Columbia. Six NQ-sized diamond drill holes, for a total of 1088 metres, were completed in September, 2011. Core was logged and sampled and all samples were shipped to Inspectorate Exploration and Mining Services Ltd, in Richmond, BC for analysis. Some 243 half-core samples were shipped, including blanks and duplicate samples.
Results have now been received. Significant gold and silver values were contained in four of the six holes drilled. All of the mineralized holes were located in the International Basin area and precious metal values were associated with quartz veins and veinlets within metasedimentary rocks. The two holes located in the Bennison Basin area, though containing significant amounts of quartz veining, contained no appreciable gold or silver values.
Best results include:
Hole BB11-01 contained 2.37 grams per tonne (gpt) gold from 17.0 to 18.0 metres; 8.71 gpt gold from 21.5 to 22.0 metres.
Hole BB11-02 contained several zones to five metres in thickness of anomalous gold values up to 960 ppb gold over one metre. The best results obtained were 3.81 gpt gold over one metre from 72.0 to 73.0 metres and 1.61 gpt gold and 4.2 gpt silver from 79.0 to 80.0 metres. Hole BB11-02 also included 14.9 gpt silver from 69.0 to 71.0 metres.
Hole BB11-03 contained 265 gpt silver over 1.25 metres from 23.75 to 25.0 metres. This zone was followed by three metres of anomalous silver containing up to 2.0 gpt silver. Hole BB11-03 also included 11.6 gpt silver and 0.48 gpt gold from 64.5 to 65.0 metres and 26.7 gpt silver from 83.0 to 84.0 metres.
Hole BB11-04 contained 1.68 gpt gold from 34.5 to 35.5 metres and several one-metre intervals containing up to 4.5 gpt silver.
Holes BB11-05 and 06, both drilled in the Bennison Basin area, contained weakly anomalous gold and silver values to 270 ppb gold and 2.4 ppm silver locally.
The mineralization at International Basin bears textural similarities to Spanish Mountain Gold's Spanish Mountain gold deposit near Likely, BC. As at Spanish Mountain the mineralization at Kingsman's International Basin property occurs in quartz veins and veinlets in metasedimentary rocks containing porphyroblasts of ankerite.
