American Creek Resources Seeks to Option Ironmist Project

The Board of Directors of American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:AMK; OTC:ACKRF) (the "Company") wishes to confirm that the Company's focus will continue to be precious metals, particularly gold and silver. The Board has reviewed the Company's portfolio of properties and has determined that the Ironmist project does not fit the Company's precious metals focus. The Ironmist (formerly the "Goldmist") was optioned in 2006 because of its potential as a gold property. Further exploration revealed the property's primary value appears to be a potential magnetite / vanadium deposit. The Company is seeking opportunities to option the Ironmist to a party that will continue to develop the property.

Allan Burton, President, stated "We think the Ironmist has some real potential, but doesn't fit with what our investors are looking for. Optioning out the Ironmist will allow us to focus entirely on our core properties, Electrum and Treaty Creek, both precious metals projects. It will also allow the Ironmist project to move forward without dilution to our shareholders."
