Anvil Mining Limited: Fatality at Kinsevere Project

PERTH, Australia, Oct. 6, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Anvil Mining Limited (TSX, ASX: AVM), ("Anvil" or the "Company") regretfully advises that there has been a fatality at its Kinsevere project.
An accident occurred on the mine access road in which a cyclist was struck by one of the Company's water carts performing dust suppression activities.
The relevant authorities have been informed and an investigation into the incident by the Company and local police is under way. The Company confirms that the cyclist was a local villager not connected with Anvil, but at this stage is unable to provide any further information pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Company has arranged for assistance and support services to be available for the family and for employees in relation to this fatality.
Darryll Castle, President and CEO commented, "We are deeply saddened by this very unfortunate event. On behalf of the Company we send our heartfelt condolences to the deceased's family and friends at this very difficult time."
