Rockgate Capital Discovers High Grade Extension to North Zone, Falea Uranium-Silver-Copper Project, Mali
13.09.2011 | Marketwired
1.21% U3O8 and 86 g/t Silver over 4 m and 1.10% U3O8 and 1,020 g/t Silver over 1 m
VANCOUVER, Sept. 13, 2011 - Rockgate Capital Corp. (TSX: RGT) (the “Company“) is pleased to announce that a new area of high grade uranium and silver has been discovered at the southwestern edge of the known North Zone with assay results of up to 1.21% U3O8 and 86 g/t Silver over 4 m in hole DF-52. The results have identified a strong west-southwest trend to high-grade uranium and silver mineralization. Highlights of the program are presented in Table 1.
Table 1 Drill Highlights
All reported intervals are true lengths.
Rockgate president Karl Kottmeier commented, “We are very excited to have discovered a second high grade area at the North Zone. Similar to the Plateau Edge Structure area to the north, this new southern area has spectacular grades of uranium and silver. This is a tremendous advancement and confirmation of our belief that additional high grade areas would be discovered within and immediately outside the North Zone.“
Section 1 360 450 N
Four diamond drill holes were stretched along section 1 360 450 N as part of an infill drilling program to a hole spacing of approximately 50 metres. Both DF-327 and DF-332 stepped outside the currently defined resource boundary; DF-327 intersected 0.17% U3O8 over 3.0 metres. Table 2 lists drill holes from east to west.
Table 2 Section 1 360 450 N
Section 1 360 400 N
A fence of 6 new holes, 50 metres south of section 1 360 450 N, spaced 50 metres apart attempted to step high-grade mineralization south from previous holes DF-062, DF-073, and DF-072. All 6 were successful, including DF-343, which intersected 0.64% U3O8 and 513.3 g/t Ag over 2.0 metres, including 1.10% U3O8 and 1020.0 g/t Ag over 1.0 metre (Table 3). DF-352 intersected 1.21% U3O8 and 86.0 g/t Ag over 4.0 metres, including 2.74% U3O8 and 26.0 g/t Ag over 1.0 metre. Based on these results, drill holes have been completed to the west of DF-355; results are pending. More drilling is planned to the west and to the south. Drill holes are listed west to east in Table 3.
Table 3 Section 1 360 400 N
Section 1 360 350 N
Three holes tested south of Section 1 360 400 N. DF-384 and DF-386 intersected very good uranium and moderate silver south of DF-340 and DF-343, suggesting the possibility that uranium mineralization continues to the south perhaps on a west-southwest direction. More drilling is planned to the south and west.

Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng., Project Manager for Falea, is the Qualified Person for the Company under NI 43-101. All core samples are cut in half on site and sent to ALS-Chemex in Bamako for direct shipment to ALS-Chemex in Johannesburg, South Africa, for ICP-MS and XRF analysis. The company inserts a standard, blank and requests a duplicate sample be run in every batch of 20 samples. In addition, the lab inserts in-house blanks, standards, and duplicates with each shipment. Data that falls outside the control limits are checked and repeated as necessary.
