Anglo Canadian Initiates Drill Program at Princeton Copper Project
Anglo Canadian Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: URA) (the 'Company') is pleased to
announce the initiation of a 2500 meter drill program at the Company's 100%
owned Princeton Copper Project located near Princeton, B.C. and in close
proximity to the Copper Mountain Mining Corporation's producing Copper
Mountain Project. Anglo Canadian recently completed a 3D IP / Magnetic
survey covering 25 line km at the Princeton Project. This survey identified
3 new potential Copper targets. One of the targets indicated a high
chargeability zone approximately 1.2 km long by 500 meters wide and
carrying to a depth of more than 300 meters. This high chargeability zone
is located in close proximity to a recent road cut exposure. These targets
will be drill tested in 6 holes covering 2500 meters. Each hole is expected
to be drilled to a target depth of between 350 meters and 500 meters,
depending on mineralization encountered.
The Company has completed a number of programs designed to help in defining
the drill locations. Since June of 2009, the following has been completed
at the Princeton Copper Project; 25 km 3D IP and ground magnetic surveys,
established baseline and completed road improvements, completed soil
sampling program, and drilled several holes to test the mineralization
hosted by Triassic-Jurassic Nicola Group island-arch volcanic assemblages
and co-magmatic monzonite to diorite plutons. This next drill program will
continue to assist in the definition of a potential resource.
The majority of areas to be tested lie closest to the Copper Mountain
proposed superpit. Copper Mountain has recently started milling and
stockpiling ore and is scheduled to produce 105 million pounds of copper
per year starting in June 2011.
Recent road improvement work conducted by Copper Mountain Mining on roads
transgressing the Company property has exposed some 100 meters of
mineralization on the company's claims. Copper mineralization is present
and samples are being sent for analysis. Copper Mountain Mining intends to
use this road to haul copper concentrate to shipping facilities.
