Galaxy Capital Corp. Announces Changes in Senior Management

VANCOUVER, March 1, 2012 - Galaxy Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE: GXY) (the "Company" or "Galaxy") is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris M. Healey, P.Geo as President and CEO of the company effective immediately. Rahoul Sharan will step down from this role, and will remain as a Director of the company.
Mr. Healey is a licensed professional geologist in Saskatchewan and British Columbia with over 40 years experience in the natural resources industry, covering all aspects from early stage exploration, through development, to production. He held senior positions with Cameco Corporation, the world's largest uranium producer. He was involved in the discovery and development of the world's two largest high grade uranium deposits: Cigar Lake and McArthur River. Mr. Healey also worked extensively on the Deep Bay West graphite project for Cameco predecessor Saskatchewan Mining Development Corp in the 1980's.
Mr. Healey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Wales, Swansea. He also served as the national president of the Geological Society of Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. In addition to belonging to several key industry associations, he has also published several scientific papers on resource and reserve evaluations. He is a Director of Carmax Mining Corp and Ansell Capital Corp.
About Galaxy:
The prime focus of Galaxy is the development of graphite properties within Canada, primarily in Quebec. The company recently signed an agreement to earn a 100% interest in the Sun Graphite Property, located 125 km northwest of Baie-Comeau, Quebec. Galaxy plans to mount an aggressive exploration campaign on the property commencing with a complete compilation of historic geologic work followed by surface work, trenching and diamond drilling. The exploration target is multiple crystalline flake graphite deposits similar to other graphite deposits and mines in Quebec such as Focus Metals Inc.'s Lac Knife Deposit and Timcal Graphite and Carbon's Lac des Iles Mine.
