Western Copper and Gold Board Member Resigns

VANCOUVER, July 13, 2012 /CNW/ - Western Copper and Gold Corporation ("Western" or the "Company") (TSX:WRN; NYSE MKT:WRN) announces that Mr. Ian Watson has tendered his resignation to the Board of Directors so that he may focus on other endeavors. Ian will remain as an Advisor to the Company.

F. Dale Corman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, commenting on Mr. Watson's resignation stated: "We are sorry to see Ian depart.  The Board of Directors of Western wishes to thank Ian for his service and contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors".
