September 12, 2012, Toronto, Ontario - Western Troy Capital Resources (TSX Venture: WRY, US-OTC: WTCRF) (Western Troy or the Company) announced today it has received the first analyses on its sedimentary hosted Vanadium-Selenium-Silver-Lead-Zinc prospect in the Gaspe area of Quebec. The property covers Carboniferous aged sediments that have been recently found to host Sandstone type vanadium-selenium mineralization as well as Mississippi Valley type lead-zinc-silver mineralization.

The property appears to present a unique exploration opportunity in Quebec. The Carboniferous aged sedimentary basin covers an area of approximately 250 square kilometres in the Gaspe area of Quebec. The mineralized showing was discovered by previous owners by visual prospecting in 2005. No work appears to have been done on the property prior to 2003. The property has not seen systematic geological mapping, geochemistry, geophysics or diamond drilling. Additional information is contained in a Western Troy press release dated April 10, 2012.

A total of 21 samples were taken on the property; 8 samples on the Beattie Occurrence, 4 samples on the Lelievre Occurrence and 9 samples on the Lezard occurrence.

A total of 8 selected grab samples were taken on the Beattie showing over a strike length of 150 meters. The purpose of the samples was to confirm sampling done by previous owners of the property as reported in the press release dated April 10, 2012. Western Troy also wanted to confirm analyses that were over detection limits in prior sampling. The prior samples were not re-assayed to determine precise values.

Summary of Analyses

Sample# V(%) Pb(%) Zn(%) Ag(g/t) Se(%) Cu(%)

566116 0.019 0.04 0.03 1.7 0.004 0.005

566117 7.20 1.11 0.12 <0.2 0.32 0.003

566118 1.63 0.46 0.18 <0.2 0.20 0.02

566122 1.69 0.86 0.11 <0.2 0.10 0.02

566123 1.49 0.19 0.09 <0.2 0.09 0.03

Sample numbers 566117, 566118, 566121, 566122, and 566123 are all greenish-coloured sandstone and conglomerate containing organic matter. More detailed sampling has been done and is now at the lab for analysis. Additional prospecting work was done on the property that resulted on the discovery of additional mineralization.

At the Lelievre Occurrence, located approximately 15 km southwest of the Beattie occurrence, three samples (566102 to 566104) were taken in an area approximately 25 meters in diameter where outcrop exposure was sparse. The rocks appeared to be calcareous argillites. The fourth sample (566105) was taken about 4 km northeast of the previous three in similar rocks. This area has not been systematically explored in the past for this type of mineralization and also represents a new exploration target.

Below is a summary of the results:

Summary of Analyses

Sample# Ag(g/t) Cu(%)

566102 1.1 0.40

566103 0.6 0.43

566104 1.9 0.93

566105 0.9 0.47

The Lezard Occurrence, located approximately 45 km northwest of the Beattie occurrence on the same fault system, appears to be a Mississippi Valley type mineralization with an epigenetic component. Past work on the property included an analysis of 1.17% zinc over 2 meters in a channel sample (Quebec Assessment Files). Present work on the property included locating the old workings and verifying the historical analyses.

Listed below is a table of the selected grab samples taken during this work program:

Sample# Pb(%) W(%) Zn(%)

566107 0.01 0.009 2.89

566108 0.24 ND 0.26

566109 0.01 0.12 11.3

566110 ND 0.05 6.37

566111 5.43 0.01 5.16

566112 0.02 ND 2.95

566113 0.44 0.01 2.86

566114 0.01 ND 0.06

566115 0.03 ND 2.65

We have consulted with SLR Consulting of Ireland and they have expressed an interest in doing high level desk based research of the literature, with a 'compare and contrast' approach to the different settings, styles, mineral potential of the area compared to similar mineralization in Ireland. They are presently preparing a budget for the program.

Prospecting will continue on the property in an effort to define known mineralized showings and discover new mineralization.
