April 26, 2013, Toronto, Ontario - Western Troy Capital Resources (TSX Venture: WRY, US-OTC: WTCRF) (Western Troy or the Corporation) management is saddened to announce today the passing of Executive Chairman and CFO, Stanley Mourin. Stanley passed peacefully in his sleep this morning after a short stay in palliative care. He is survived by his wife Barbara and daughter Ainsley.
Stanley was born in 1934 and began his working life in 1950 as a salesman and runner for brokers in Toronto. He advanced quickly and by the 1960's, Stanley had become owner of a broker-dealer firm where he helped finance over 250 mineral exploration companies. Over the years, Stanley was a director of over 40 public companies. Many a prospector found an open door for advancing their mineral prospects with Stanley's firm. In recent years, he was Executive Chairman of Western Troy.
Western Troy's CEO, Rex Loesby, commented, "Stanley's intelligence, sense of humor, and inexhaustible energy, will be sorely missed."
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 29, 2013, at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel. Those wishing to attend may get details of the service on the Benjamin's Park Website.
Until a new CFO can be named, Rex Loesby will act as interim CFO.
