Oceanic Iron Ore Corp. Appoints VP of Shipping and Marine Services

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired - June 4, 2013) - Oceanic Iron Ore Corp. ("Oceanic", or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:FEO) (OTCQX:FEOVF) announces that it has appointed John B. Hall as VP of Shipping and Marine Services with immediate effect.
Mr. Hall possesses thirty five years experience in the field of industrial bulk transportation with relevant expertise in respect of ports, shipping, and transshipment approaches. He has an extensive network of contacts and business relationships in the industry and in the past has been employed by Canada Steamship Lines, Jebsens Group, and Skaarup at various management levels including President and CEO of Jebsens Canada.
Most recently, Mr. Hall spent six years working with Baffinland Iron Mines in respect of shipping, port, and marine logistics approaches and led the shipping component of the Mary River definitive feasibility study, as well as engineering related to the project's port infrastructure. He has also recently worked with Severstal, Alderon Iron Ore, Dominion Terminal Services, Nucor Steel, Teck Corporation, and Coeclerici on similar mandates.
John will report to Alan Gorman, Oceanic's president and COO to manage the Shipping Optimization Study currently being led by AMEC and in the coming months, he is expected to play a key role in the Company's Feasibility Study, port design, transshipment design and logistics, and shipping contract tender processes.
