Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, June 11, 2013 /FSC/ - Banyan Gold Corp. (BYN - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce the re-election of Richmond Graham and Mark Ayranto as directors and the election of Jay Collins, Tara Christie and Gregory Melchior as new members of the board of directors. Banyan Gold would like to thank two former directors, David Rutt, who remains Chief Financial Officer and John Hilland, who did not stand for re-election for their contributions to the Company.
Mr. Collins is President of Merit Consults International Inc., a highly regarded project and construction management company in the mining industry. Ms. Christie is President of Gimlex Gold Mines Ltd., one of Yukon's largest gold mining operations. Mr. Melchior, well known in the financial sector, is an investment advisor at BMO and is the Executive in Residence at the DeGroote Business School.
