Coventry Resources: Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan 16, 2015) - Coventry Resources Inc. ("the Company") (ASX:CYY) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mark Bojanjac as Non-Executive Chairman and Mr Michael Fowler as a Non-Executive Director. Both Mark and Michael have extensive experience financing and developing resources projects. Their experience and business relationships should greatly assist the Company as it advances the highly prospective and underexplored high-grade Caribou Dome Copper Project in Alaska.

Mr Mark Bojanjac - BCom, CA

Mr Bojanjac is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience developing resource companies. Mr Bojanjac was most recently CEO of Adamus Resources Ltd., where he oversaw rapid growth of an early stage exploration project in Ghana through to development of the Nzema Gold Mine. This included managing ~$170m of debt and equity financings and the commissioning of the mine on-time and within budget. Adamus was subsequently merged with Endeavour Mining Corporation in 2011.

Prior to this Mark was a founding director of Gilt-Edged Mining Limited which discovered what is still one of Australia's highest grade gold mines and was also Managing Director of AGR Limited, an unlisted public company which successfully developed and financed a 2.4 million ounce gold resource in Mongolia, prior to its acquisition by Centerra Gold. He was also a founding director of an unlisted public company which acquired and advanced a 3 million ounce gold project in China, which subsequently comprised ASX-listed Dragon Mountain Gold Limited's primary asset.

Mark is currently a non-executive director of Geopacific Resources Limited, an ASX-listed company focused on the development of the high-grade Kou Sa Copper/Gold Project in Cambodia.

Mr Michael Fowler - BAppSc(Geol), MSc (Ore Deposit Geology), MAusIMM

Mr Fowler is a geologist who currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX-listed Genesis Minerals Limited, which is exploring gold and copper projects in Chile, Argentina and Western Australia.

Having graduated from Curtin University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in geology, Michael has been involved in the mineral exploration industry for over 25 years. He completed a Master of Science majoring in Ore Deposit Geology in 1999.

Michael previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Croesus Mining NL (from 2005 to 2006), where, prior to his appointment as CEO, he had been the Exploration Manager. He was responsible for overseeing all exploration work and closely associated with Croesus' acquisition of the Davyhurst Gold Project and its merger with Central Norseman Gold Corporation Ltd. Prior to that he worked across Dominion Mining Ltd.'s operations in Western Australia.
