Perth, Australia (FSCwire) - Gold developer West African Resources Limited (ASX, TSXV: WAF) is pleased to report high-grade results from first-pass shallow oxide RC drilling at its M3 prospect, Tanlouka Gold Project, Burkina Faso.
Highlights
- RC drilling at M3 prospect extends shallow high-grade oxide mineralisation
- Potential to add ounces to existing heap leach Ore Reserve of 440,000oz gold
- Follow-up RC and diamond drilling in progress
Managing Director Richard Hyde commented:
“TAC1047 returned an excellent result of 25m at 2.45g/t Au, ending in mineralisation, extending mineralisation 100m to the south of discovery hole TAC0996, which returned 32m at 5.02g/t Au.
“The result confirms a north-south trend of gold mineralisation and opens up potential for repetitive parallel structures with a number of north-south trends present within existing geochemical dataset.
“Gold mineralisation at M3 is located less than 2km from the proposed starter pit at M5. Follow-up drilling is in progress and will continue into 2016.”
