Athabasca Nuclear Corp. Acquires Additional Garland Lake Claim Blocks

ancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Athabasca Nuclear Corporation (TSX-V: ASC) (“Athabasca Nuclear” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to report that it has acquired five new mineral claim blocks to further expand its Garland Lake nickel-cobalt-PGM project in Labrador.

Athabasca Nuclear continues to hold the largest mineral tenure position of any company in the Garland exploration camp. Athabasca Nuclear’s Garland Lake Project is located approximately 30km SE of the Voisey’s Bay mine and is adjacent to the Garland project being advanced by Equitas Resources Corp.


New Garland Camp Tenure

The newly acquired mineral claim blocks consist of five tenure licenses, 023575M, 023576M, 023577M, 023578M, and 023579M comprising an aggregate total of 84 claim parcels, representing, in total, just over 5,000 acres. The new tenure compliments the existing claim position the Corporation holds in the Garland Lake region.

023575M - This new claim block comprises 28 claim parcels representing approximately 1700 acres. A map of the claim may be viewed at:

The additional Garland Lake project tenure was acquired by Athabasca Nuclear through staking and as a result there are no cash or share payments due to any optionors. Furthermore, the new mineral tenure is not subject to any third-party royalties.
