Equitas Resources Corp. - Closes 1st Tranche of Non-Brokered Private Placement

Vancouver - Equitas Resources Corp. (TSXv: EQT) (FSE: T6U1) (“Equitas” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has closed a first tranche of the private placement that was previously announced on March 7, 2016. The Company has issued 8,000,000 Units at $0.05 per Unit for proceeds of $400,000.  Of the 8,000,000 Units purchased, 4,200,000 were purchased by insiders of the Company.

Each Unit consists of one common share and one share purchase warrant. Each share purchase warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share at a price of $0.10 for 24 months after the closing.

All securities hereunder are subject to a four month and a day hold from the closing date.  The proceeds received from the Units will be used by the Company for exploration, asset acquisition, corporate development and general and administrative purposes.
