ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Apr 20, 2016) -

Note to editors: There are four photos associated with this press release.

Radisson Mining Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RDS) ("Radisson") is pleased to announce assay results from four first holes of its drilling program at the O'Brien gold project.

- Drill hole 16-3 (OSP5-4) intersected 12.73 g/t Au over 1.0m (Including 23.79 g/t Au over 0.5m) with presence of visible gold (downhole thickness)

- Many intersections with visible gold have been intersected in two other drill holes

- All intersections with visible gold are located in the Pontiac Group sedimentary rocks located south and outside of current mineral resources of the O'Brien project (43-101 Technical report, InnovExplo, April 2015).

All gold values and other intersections of interest containing visible gold in the Pontiac Group sedimentary rocks are presented below:

Radisson's President Mario Bouchard adds: " These results come as a surprise. Drill holes completed targeted the extension of known ore shoots included in current mineral resources. These new high-grade intersections are located inside the Pontiac Group sedimentary rocks, which were not targeted. Assays results and the presence of visible gold in three out of the six drill holes completed up to date underlines strong exploration potential in the Pontiac Group, which has never been the subject of any compilation work or definition drilling. Gold-bearing have been intersected at different depth and remain open in all directions, this adds on to all exploration potential left at the O'Brien gold project".

Current drilling program targets extension of known ore shoots within current mineral resources of the O'Brien project located within the Piché Group rocks (43-101 Technical Report, InnovExplo, April 2015). Up to date, six drill holes were completed for a total of 2,773m. (See figure 1)

All drill holes were orientated N360° with a dip of -75°

Before reaching their target, all drill holes must cross Pontiac Group sedimentary rocks located south and outside current resource area. Hence, drill holes intersected gold values up to 12,73 g/t Au over 1.0m (Including 23.79 g/t Au over 0.5m)(core length) but also low-grade intersections with presence of fine visible gold. Up to date, six intersections in three different drill holes included fine visible gold grains.

The Pontiac Group sedimentary lithologies consist mainly of greywacke in interdigitation with argilite. Gold mineralization is associated with veinlets and veins systems, millimetric to decimetric sized, composed of quartz-carbonate, with or without albite-chlorite-biotite, sometimes associated to disseminated arsenopyrite, and sometimes, in close proximity to pyrite, pyrrhotite and pentlandite. Gold mineralization also occurs in association with graphitic (pyrite-pyrrhotite) fault zone. Those system of veins and veinlets intersected occurs in sheared, faulted and folded zones.

Piché Group - Current mineral resources

All drill holes completed aimed the extension of known ore shoots within current resources of the O'Brien project located in the Piché Group (43-101 Technical report, InnovExplo, April 2015). Drill holes highlights are presented below (See figure 1).

Assays results up to 3.08 g/t Au over 6.95m (core length) were obtained in the four first exploration drill holes. Gold bearing zones were intersected many times justifying the pursuit of this drilling program.

All drill cores in this campaign are NQ in size. Analyses were done on sawn half-cores, with the second half kept for future reference. The samples were analyzed using standard fire assay procedures with AA finish at Techni-Lab Actlabs in Ste-Germaine-Boulé in Abitibi, Quebec. Samples yielding a grade higher than 1 g/t were analyzed a second time by fire assay with gravimetric finish at the same laboratory. Assays containing visible gold and yielding a grade higher than 3 g/t were reanalyzed with metallic sieve procedure. Standard reference materials and blank samples inserted prior to shipment for quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program.

About Radisson Mining Resources Inc.

Radisson is a Quebec-based mineral exploration company. The O'Brien project, cut by the regional Larder-Lake-Cadillac Fault, is Radisson's flagship asset. The project hosts the former O'Brien Mine, considered to have been the Abitibi Greenstone Belt's highest-grade gold producer during its production (1,197,147 metric tons at 15.25 g/t Au for 587,121 ounces of gold from 1926 to 1957; InnovExplo, April 2015).
