Northaven Resources Corp.: Announces New Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/05/13 -- Northaven Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE: NTV) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Watkinson, P. Eng. to the Northaven Board of Directors, replacing Chilwin Cheng, who has resigned in order to focus on his law practice and other interests. The Company would like thank Mr. Cheng for his past service to the Company and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Dave Watkinson is a professional mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He has extensive background in mine permitting, feasibility studies, project development, project management, due diligence studies, technical evaluations, and mine re-engineering and has taken projects from grass roots exploration to successful operation. Mr. Watkinson has been responsible for management of large capital projects in Canada, the United States and the Philippines. He has held progressively senor positions with Placer Dome Inc., Kinross Gold Corporation, Thyssen Mining Construction and Vulcan Materials Company and is currently the President and CEO of Emgold Mining Corporation. Mr. Watkinson holds a B.S. in Applied Science, Mining Engineering from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (1985) and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
