Simba Gold Corp. Appoints New Management

VANCOUVER, Oct. 20, 2011 - Simba Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: SGD) (FRANKFURT: S7G) ("Simba" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Werner Ullmann as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following the resignation of Peter Miles from the Company.
Werner Ullman
Mr. Ullmann, the founder of Simba Gold Corp., has over 10 years of experience in the commodity sector. He worked as analyst and fund manager of the Gold & Resources equity fund at DJE Kapital AG. Under his management, this fund was designated the best gold fund of 2003. Ullmann founded ERA Resources GmbH, a company specialising in portfolio consultation for commodity investments. Mr. Ullman is CEO and Chairman of Placer Gold International Corp. and Director of NZTZ Developments Ltd.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Allan Armitage as Senior Technical Advisor. Mr. Armitage is a Director of Simba Gold Corp. as well as the Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 for the Miyove Gold Project.
Allan Armitage, Ph.D., P.Geo
Mr. Armitage is geologist with over 20 years of experience in the mining and exploration industry and his appointment brings geological expertise to the board as the Company focuses on its Miyove gold project in Africa. He is currently a senior geologist with GeoVector Management Inc., which provides resource evaluation and estimation and project management for resource companies. Prior to his current position, Mr. Armitage served as vice president of exploration for both Uranium North Resources and Triex Minerals Corp., and has held senior positions for a number of mining exploration companies with properties in North and South America. His experience includes managing all geological and geophysical aspects of exploration including, the implementation of exploration and drilling programs, preparing technical reports and managing quality assurance on properties.
Mr. Armitage has a PhD in geology from the University of Western Ontario and is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. He is a Qualified Person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and has experience working in Canada, Mexico and Honduras.
